How to Back Up and Restore Android Phones Using Astro File Manager


Earlier, I wrote an article on Astro File Manager an Android App which can back up and organise your data on Android Smartphones. Today, I’ll tell you how to actually backup android phones and restore it later. Back up of data in Android Phones is very important because whenever you update your android firmware then there are full chances of loosing files and applications installed on it. Sometimes, we lost very precious files which may get us in big trouble. So, best option is to backup your android phone in SD card before updating its firmware.

  • Launch Astro File Manager and select Tools from the Menu option.
  • From the tool list choose Application Manager/Backup option.
  • Now tap on Backed Up Apps to view all the backed up Apps.
  • Tick the top box to restore all the apps. Otherwise, untick any individual app that you don’t want to recover.
  • Now tap on Install to restore files and apps on to your android phone.
